We are currently appointed by London City Airport as Project Managers and Cost Managers for the installation of Safety Enhancing Technology, EMAS MAX on their runway infrastructure to provide a higher level of safety by introducing this solution to both ends of the runway and providing enhanced Runway End Safety Areas. The scheme involves reprofiling the adjacent areas, installing pavement suitable for aircraft in the unlikely event of an emergency stop as well as upgrade and relocation of NavAids and approach lighting. The scheme is the first of its kind in the UK civil aviation sector with a combined value of circa £17m and is scheduled for completion mid-summer 2023.
